Social Media is a great invention that has completely change the way people interact and communicate with each other. But there are some questions about its negative aspects. A lot of people are agains social media because teenagers mostly become addicted to them. There are people that don't do homework, nor the chores because of being connected on the internet all the time. They also get separated from their family and change face to face relationships for internet relationships.
There is not only negative stuff about the media use. There are a lot of studies that show that teenagers that use social media, develop better social skills. It would help you in your classes like in our school technology is all around and is part of the class because all the things we do on paper the iPad replace this is more efficient and help also the planet not using to much papers this will save more trees. And what i think is the best, is google that facilitates information and its search in a huge way
I think that if we look at both sides of social media use we can se that it is very good, but if we ise it in execs it would be pernicious. So I think that disconnecting from technology could be an enriching exercise. But it can also bring more problems because it would become more difficult to communicate with people outside your family. So the key is to use it in a moderate way, with balance.

Rwandan genocide
In 1994 the Hutu ethnic group in Rwanda suddenly started killing the Tutsi minority, because they had supposedly created a rebellious militia and killed president Habyarimana. Seventeen years later the actual president of Rwanda is accused of the murder of the Hutu president, but he defends himself by saying: "Mr Kagame says it was the work of Hutu extremists, in order to provide a pretext to carry out their well-laid plans to exterminate the Tutsi community." After Habyarimana's plane was taken down, almost immediately, Hutus hunted down Tutsi civilians just because Tutsis were blamed for the assassination of the president, in which simple civilians had nothing to do with. Perhaps this genocide was a witch hunt because the Hutus feared the Tutsis and wanted to exterminate them which is why they are blamed of making a rebel group. Another point that led up to the mass killing of Tutsis is stated in the human rights page: "Hutu extremists within Rwanda’s political elite blamed the entire Tutsi minority population for the country’s increasing social, economic, and political pressures. "Hutu extremists within Rwanda’s political elite blamed the entire Tutsi minority population for the country’s increasing social, economic, and political pressures." This is not true because there is no way that all of the Tutsis were responsible for this, neither was it only the Tutsis fault. So the Hutus accused the tutsis of conforming a rebel group and started killing all the Tutsi civilians. The Rwandan genocide in 1994 was definitely a great example of a witch hunt, because Tutsis were not responsible for all the problems the country had as Hutus said.
Conection in History
In 1959 Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press, as a black smith in Mainz, Germany Gutenberg carved out letters in metal that could be arranged to print words in a paper. This started a massive spread of information all over Europe with with new printing presses appearing, so people could access to information easier. This helped Martin Luther who was starting the protestant reformation was able to write the 95 thesis in 1517 that criticized the church and said that selling indulgences was wrong, and because of the printing press bibles started being more accessible. Because people could now read bibles or listen what it says they saw that the church was a corrupt institution and was lying.
The printing press started the spread of written information, for example another way it influenced history was during the period of the enlightenment philosophers, after the invention of the printing press people started publishing books, so other people started reading and learning about history and studies. Because all the philosophers of the enlightenment read about previous studies and events they came to their conclusions. Some differ a little bit from each other and others are contrary but they are all supported with real life evidence that can be seen all trough history, since human beginnings. Another important effect the printing press had on the enlightenment was that it made possible for them to publish their theories and it helped spread all this theories and concepts that change the world in various ways.
All the enlightenment philosophers except for Hobbes agreed that no one person should have all the power, that for a government to succeed power has to be equally shared. This theories have had a great impact to the world because they were the foundation of democracy as we know it. Their theories about that power should be shared and that there should be freedom of speech that is what Voltaire says, doesn't only apply to politics but it also does with Religion, so it connects to the Protestant reformation that is fighting to separate from the Catholic church because they have to much power, therefore its actions are corrupt.

The crucible
If you ever are in a situation were you have two choices. First confess to a crime you didn't commit to avoid the punishment that want to be given to you because you look guilty. Second you say that you didn't do this crime and try to defend yourself for what is true, and if you are found guilty you will get worse punishment. If it was me in that position I would think it a lot, depending in how the grave this punishment will be. It is also a little bit wrong from the ethics point of view to admit a crime you didn't do, because if you are punished for something you didn't do there is no justice in it the person that did the crime is free and unpunished so there is no justice done, and there is no sense on what is going to be done. I have been in that position, what I decide to do depends on what the punishment is, if it is not very harsh I do not say that it was me who did it, but instead if I can avoid a very harsh punishment for something that I did not do, I would consider this idea. Seeing it from the point of view of the person that committed the crime things are similar, but they are also different. If you do something that deserves a punishment and someone else is going to say he is guilty because everyone thinks he is guilty, it is morally wrong to let him do this because as it is said, you have to accept the consequences of your acts and in this case you are letting someone else accept the consequences for what you did.
The best TV show
In my opinion there is no only one best TV show, my favorite comedy show is the big bang theory. It is the best comedy show I have seen. The actors are exceptional, specially Jim Parson that plays the role of Sheldon. This show has a very interesting topic, and how the characters are nerds that try to go trough live as a normal person. There is no other comedy TV show that can equal the big bang theory.
There is a great TV show called Breaking Bad which has recently ended. Its story is excellent, it is about a chemistry teacher that starts cooking meth with one of his former students. It has very little unreal events, for example there are characters that die, and they show the horrible conflicts that drug dealing creates. There are suspense scenes that make you want to see more and more. That is why I liked this show so much.
The next show in line is the game of thrones. The author of the books Gorge R.R Martin based the books on the events of Europe like absolutism, and monarchy. It is great because of the social and political context that show how psychology and politics can change things. The show is very violent, do to the time period it is based on, but there are more fictitious things that give it a better mood tot he story.

Federer vs Nadal
When it comes to Grand Slam titles, Swiss star Federer has 17, with five in a row at the US Open from 2004-2008, which gives him the title of the best tennis player in history. While Nadal has won 13 Slam championships, including eight at the French Open and a 2010 US Open win to finish a career Grand Slam. Federer can't compete right now at Nadal's level, because of the age difference, however the younger Federer was almost unbeatable he reached the longest time overall at the No. 1 ATP Ranking, He was also able to win almost every Wimbledon tournament he has played, this is a great achievement because Wimbledon is supposed to be the most competitive, and hardest Major to win out of all four of them.
When it comes to their head-to-head rivalry, Nadal has won 21 times to Federer, but only 10 are for the 32 year old Federer and the 27-year-old Spaniard owns a 7-6 edge on hardcourts. Some could say Nadal is better than Federer, because being about 5 years younger, Nadal has accomplish almost everything that Federer has, with only one record missing the number of Grand Slam titles however, Nadal still has the energy, and strength to reach that record as for Federer is becoming harder and harder to win a major title, because of his age, also Nadal has suffered from many injuries in his back, and in his knee, and it's arguable that Nadal hasn't reached Federer's record because of his injuries.
To conclude there are good arguments for both players, there is a constant rivalry between the Federer fans and Nadal's. Maybe when Federer retires Nadal will overpass his achievements. But for now there is no doubt that for now Federer has overcome Pete Samprases record and is the best player in history.

WORLD WITHOUT RULES
Have you ever asked yourself what would happen to the world if we didn't have rules? Anarchy is a popular term, but a lot of people really don't dimension what it is like. There are various theories as what would happen, first most people think it is great because they can do whatever they want. Wile other say that it would become total chaos if there aren't rules.
The theory of the world without rules being excellent is very popular, because without someone to give some rules to control people you could do whatever you want. There are a lot of advantages to this because you could do what you like, and you don't have rules nor someone to stop you. For example in a case that you want a gun and the law forbids you, without these rules you can have it. If you cannot drive drunk because you would get put into jail, that will stop without the annoying rules. But is it all ways that good.
For society to survive there needs to be rules. In total anarchy there is complete chaos and people are uncontrollable. For example the laws that prohibit people of owning a gun and shooting someone don't exist any more, so you could kill someone without repercussions. Another of many cases that would lead to chaos is people driving drunk all around, because there is no punishment for drunk drivers. These are examples of why there has to be rules for society to exist and it doesn't fall.
MY RESOLUTIONS FOR THIS YEAR
I have decided that for the year 2014 I will make a lot of changes, first I want to maintain my school average and if it is possible to make it better by studying more for the exams, and for other important assessments; for example being well prepared for presentations.
Another thing is that I want to start reading more, I am trying to read 30 minutes every day if possible that is essential for learning.

WERE WOULD I TRAVEL?
If I had freedom to travel to any part of the world think I would go to, a place where there is not technology. One of the things I like about some places I have traveled to, is that I don't have my cell phone on me all the time. After a wile of not using all the electronic devices that I use on a daily basis, you stop thinking about it.
Other thing I like when going on trips is being around nature. Doing walks on the jungle or in places that have a lot of trees and animals. For example a place that I like to go is to the pacific coast of Colombia were there is no big cities, and very little technology. Also I know about places around the world that have things like this.
To conclude I think that I would go to Africa or Alaska because there are a lot of animals that I would like to see. I am very passionate about places with nature. These places have big reservoirs that are perfect for animal sighting, in Alaska there are wolves, bears, deers and other animals. In Africa there are lions, zebras, and other very beautiful animals.
